Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are strongly recommended to guarantee availability. Walk-ins are welcome when time allows.

How do I book?

Book online through our booking link. You’ll select your service, review policies, and complete any required intake questions.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes—deposits secure your appointment time and are applied toward your service total. Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferable with proper notice (see cancellation policy).

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept major cards and digital payments. (Add your options: Apple Pay, Tap to Pay, Cash, etc.)

What is your cancellation / rescheduling policy?

We ask for at least 24–48 hours notice to reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee and/or forfeited deposit.

Are you needle-only?

Yes. We do needle-only piercings for cartilage only because of precision, hygiene, and optimal healing.

Do you use piercing guns?

No. We do not use guns or spring-loaded devices. They’re not appropriate for safe professional piercing.

What does “medical device piercing” mean?

It means we use professional, sterile, single-use medical-grade insertion tools designed to place jewelry cleanly and accurately—supporting a smoother piercing experience and better healing.

How do you sterilize your tools?

We follow strict hygiene standards including single-use disposables, proper sanitation of all surfaces, and sterilization protocols for any reusable tools/equipment as required for professional body art services. If you’d like, we can walk you through our process at your appointment.

Is your jewelry safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. We offer hypoallergenic implant-grade materials and high-quality jewelry options selected for comfort, safety, and healing.

What should I do before my appointment?

Eat a solid meal
Hydrate
Avoid alcohol and recreational substances for 24 hours
Bring a valid photo ID
Wear comfortable clothing (and hair up for ear piercings)

Do you pierce minors?

Yes, with a parent/guardian present and proper documentation.

What ID do I need?

A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all piercings. Minors (if applicable) require additional documentation.

Can I get pierced if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding?

We recommend speaking with your healthcare provider first. Many clients choose to wait due to healing demands and body changes.

Can I get pierced if I have a medical condition or take medications?

Possibly—however, some conditions or medications can affect healing. If you have concerns (blood thinners, immune conditions, diabetes, keloid history), contact us before booking so we can advise appropriately.

Pain + Healing

How bad does it hurt?

Everyone’s pain tolerance is different, but most piercings are quick—a few seconds of pressure/pinch—followed by warmth or soreness.

How long does healing take?

Healing varies by piercing and your body. Most piercings take weeks to months to fully heal. We’ll give you a realistic timeline based on your specific piercing.

What’s normal during healing?

Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, and light crusting can be normal early on. We’ll provide aftercare instructions and what to watch for.

How do I know if it’s infected?

Increasing heat, swelling, severe pain, thick yellow/green discharge, fever, or symptoms worsening over time may indicate infection. If you suspect infection, contact a healthcare provider—don’t remove the jewelry without professional guidance.

What type of jewelry do you use for new piercings?

We use appropriate starter jewelry for healing—often implant-grade titanium or other safe materials based on your preference and anatomy.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

For safety and fit, we only use studio jewelry for initial piercings.

When can I change my jewelry?

Only after your piercing is sufficiently healed. Changing too early is one of the top causes of irritation and complications.

Do you offer downsizing?

Yes. Downsizing (changing to a shorter post after swelling goes down) is often recommended for healthier healing and comfort.

What is permanent jewelry?
Permanent jewelry is a custom‑fitted, clasp‑free chain that’s secured using a micro‑linking technique — no welding, no heat, and no sparks. It gives the same seamless, everyday-wear look as traditional welded jewelry, but uses a gentler, non‑invasive connection method.

Does it hurt?
No. Since this method uses no welding, nothing touches your skin. The linking process is quick, safe, and completely painless.

What materials do you offer?
We offer high‑quality, tarnish‑resistant chains such as:

• Solid gold (optional depending on your inventory)
You can customize your selection based on what you carry.

Can I remove it later?
Yes. Permanent jewelry can be removed at home with small scissors by cutting the micro‑link. You can keep the chain, and in many cases we can re‑link it for a small service fee.

What if it breaks?
If your piece breaks at the connection point within your set warranty period, we may offer a complimentary repair. Breaks caused by snagging, stretching, or heavy wear may require a repair fee. (Customize this to your policy.)

Can I go through TSA / airport security?
Yes — permanent jewelry is TSA‑friendly. If you ever need it removed for a medical procedure or job requirement, simply cut the micro‑link and bring it back for re‑linking.

Do you offer permanent jewelry parties?
Absolutely. We host group bookings for birthdays, bridal parties, pop‑ups, girls’ nights, and more. Contact us for availability, minimums, and event details.

What is a “STUDEX medical device” lobe piercing?

A STUDEX medical device lobe piercing uses a hand-pressurized ear piercing system with a single-use, pre-sterilized cartridge that places the jewelry in one smooth, controlled motion. We use this method for earlobes only

Do you use a piercing gun?

No. We do not use traditional spring-loaded piercing guns.

Why is STUDEX safer than a traditional piercing gun?

Traditional piercing guns are typically spring-loaded and can create more blunt force trauma to the tissue, plus many designs are difficult to fully sterilize. Our STUDEX lobe system is a safer option because it:

Uses single-use, sterile disposable cartridges (no reused “gun parts” contacting the piercing jewelry path)
Is hand-pressurized, not spring-fired (more controlled, less aggressive force)
Creates a clean, consistent placement for lobes
Supports strong hygiene standards for each client with new, sealed components

What piercings do you do with the medical device?

Lobes only.

For any cartilage (helix, conch, tragus, etc.), we use a needle-only professional piercing method instead.

Why needle-only for cartilage?

Cartilage is different than soft lobe tissue—it’s firmer and requires a method that’s precise and as gentle on the tissue as possible. Needle piercing is the professional standard for cartilage because it’s designed for controlled placement and proper healing support.

Can I choose device vs. needle for lobes?

For most clients, yes—however, we’ll always recommend the method that best matches your anatomy, goals, and healing needs. If you’re unsure, we’ll guide you during your appointment.

Is the jewelry sterile?

Yes. For device lobe piercings, the jewelry comes in a sealed, single-use sterile cartridge. For needle piercings, we use sterile procedures and jewelry appropriate for safe healing.

Does the medical device hurt less than a needle?

Pain is personal, but most clients describe the medical device lobe piercing as very quick with brief pressure/pinch. Needle piercings are also quick, and many clients find them very manageable—especially with proper technique and aftercare
